- A massive controversy is brewing amid the power crisis in the country coupled with the severe heat wave. Many states are highlighting coal shortage in the country and urging centre for its adequate availability to avoid power outages. The latest to join the bandwagon is New Delhi, where power minister Satyendar Jain has written to the Centre sending out an SOS on coal shortage. He added that less than 1 day's stock of coal is left for the national capital. However, NTPC has dismissed this claim. The centre on the other hand has hit back at states like Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. Union Power Minister RK Singh has highlighted that the issue is arising out of states not paying their dues. Watch this video for more details.
