China’s third aircraft carrier ‘Fujian’ enters service as Trump panics, ready to take US warships?

China has officially commissioned the “Fujian,” its most advanced and largest aircraft carrier to date, in a high-profile ceremony attended by Xi Jinping. The Fujian marks a bold leap in China’s naval modernization—with electromagnetic catapult (EMALS) technology matching the latest US supercarriers, a 80,000+ ton displacement, and capacity for 40–60 aircraft, including advanced fighters and early-warning planes. While still conventionally powered (not nuclear like US Ford-class carriers), the Fujian demonstrates Beijing’s intent to project power far beyond its shores and directly challenge US naval dominance in Asia and across “blue-water” routes.
