This is the heart warming moment when a brave sikh man is seen taking off his turban to rescue a dog from drowning in an irrigation canal in India. 28-year-old devout sikh, Sarwan Singh, took off his turban and climbed down the steep banks of a canal in the north Indian state of Punjab to save the canine's life. “I was travelling when I saw a group of men pointing towards the canal. I stopped my car and went over to check what was happening. I was shocked to see that there was a dog was drowning but no was actually helping,” said Sarwan. Sarwan, who cannot swim, decided to make use of his turban. With the help of some bystanders, Sarwan managed to climb down the banks of the canal by holding one of his turban, which he used as a rope. He used the remaining part of his turban to hold onto the dog.
