Covid update: Australia criminalises arrivals from India; Delhi’s oxygen crisis

From Delhi government extending lockdown to India getting Sputnik V doses, here are the top updates on coronavirus. India on Saturday received over 1 lakh doses of Sputnik V from Russia. The vaccine, with over 90 per cent efficacy, arrived in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, 12 people were killed due to oxygen shortage at Delhi’s Batra Hospital. In Gujarat, 18 including 16 coronavirus patients died in fire in Bharuch. Also, SII chairman Adar Poonawalla said he is getting ‘aggressive calls from powerful people’ over Covid-19 vaccine.
