Covid vaccine, plasma therapy, HCQ drug: Top doctor updates on hunt for cures

Dr Rommel Tickoo, Associate Director - Internal Medicine at Max Healthcare answers the most frequently asked questions on the development of a vaccine against Covid-19, and other medical issues related to the pandemic. During a conversation with Hindustan Times' Aditi Prasad, Dr Tickoo says that a vaccine against the Sars-Cov-2 coronavirus is at least one year away. He speaks about the importance of social distancing which needs to become a 'way of life'. Dr Tickoo also comments on the latest developments regarding the usage of other techniques like blood plasma therapy and administration of hydroxychloroquine to treat Covid patients.
