Now, rapid Covid-19 testing at home with CoviSelf: All you need to know

• ICMR has approved a home-based rapid antigen testing (RAT) kit for Covid-19. The self-use test kit, CoviSelf is manufactured by Pune-based Mylab Discovery Solutions. According to ICMR, only nasal swab will be required for this rapid antigen testing. Mylab has claimed that its test kits cost nearly one-fourth of the currently procured ones. Director (Corporate Strategy) of Mylab, Sujit Jain said “Mylab's test kit, CoviSelf is for self-use and it is a rapid antigen test. This test kit is particularly for home use, hence it is very easy to use. If you have symptoms or have come in contact with a positive person, you can use the kit.” The test using CovidSelf can be conducted in two minutes with results within 15 minutes.
