‘Sputnik V Covid vaccine will be available in few weeks’: Dr Reddy's Lab CEO

Deepak Sapra, CEO - API and Services, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, informed that Sputnik V Covid vaccine will be available in few weeks after it undergoes statutory clearances. 1,50,000 doses of Russian COVID vaccine Sputnik V arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad on May 1. Last month, the Drug Controller General (DCGI) had issued permission for Dr Reddy's Laboratories to import the Russian vaccine to India for emergency use. Ravi Prakash Mathur, Vice President and Head of Global Logistics at Dr Reddy's Laboratories, said all SOPs to be followed in warehouses and vaccination centres are in place and training will be given.
