- Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh attacked West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee over her dharna against EC's campaign ban. Ghosh blamed the Bengal CM for deaths in Cooch Behar during the fourth phase of polling. “She (Mamata) is targeting the Election Commission and giving direction to loot EVMs. Mamata Banerjee is completely responsible for the deaths (in Sitalkuchi). She is not following the decision taken by EC and is sitting on dharna. She, who protests against SC and the Constitution, will never follow law,” said Ghosh. Mamata is sitting on dharna next to a Mahatma Gandhi's statue at Kolkata's Mayo road. EC imposed a 24-hour ban on the TMC supremo from campaigning in any manner. Ban has been imposed over Mamata's remarks against the central forces. Meanwhile, EC also issued a notice to Ghosh for his remarks on the Sitalkuchi incident.
