PM Modi security breach: Channi govt forms high-level committee to probe lapses

Punjab govt formed a high-level committee to probe the alleged security lapses during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit. The panel comprises Justice (Retd.) Mehtab Singh Gill & Anurag Verma, Principal secretary of home affairs and justiceThe two-member high level committee will submit its report within three days. In a major security lapse, PM Modi’s convoy was stranded on a flyover due to a blockade by protesters in Ferozepur on Jan 5. PM Modi returned from poll-bound Punjab without attending any event, including a rally. Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi has denied any security lapse or political motive behind it.
