Watch: Mamata sits on dharna against EC's campaign ban, paints in silent protest

- West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee sat on a dharna to protest against Election Commission's ban. EC imposed a 24-hour ban on the Bengal CM from campaigning in any manner. Mamata, confined to a wheelchair, arrived at Mayo road in Kolkata around 11.40 am. The TMC supremo began her sit-in next to a Mahatma Gandhi's statue at the venue. CM Mamata also painted a few pictures while sitting at the protest site. The ban has been imposed over Mamata's remarks against central forces. The 24-hour ban, imposed from 8 pm on April 12, will continue till 8 pm on April 13. Mamata is scheduled to address two rallies in Barasat, Bidhanangar after 8 pm on Tuesday.
