Watch | Fascinating experiment to create 360-degree portrait images

Updated on Apr 07, 2016 03:59 pm IST

Canadian artist Eric Pare put his unusual artistic talents to work in October 2015 creating a set of 360 degree portraits for attendees of the AdobeMAX design conference in Los Angeles. The images are all from a 360 angle showing people half shrouded in darkness wielding lit up shapes.

Pare told Reuters that the photographs are created using 32 cameras mounted on a rig.

Pare added that he uses various light-emitting tools such flashlights, led strips or coloured tubes, and moves the light around his subject thus generating a light trace and “the light itself”.

Pare said that he has been showcasing what he describes as his “light-painting technique” world-wide since 2013.
