First Legal Setback For Trump, Judge Blocks U.S. President’s Bid To End Birthright Citizenship

Just three days after issuing his citizenship order, U.S. President Trump encountered his first legal challenge. On January 23, U.S. District Judge John Coughenour temporarily blocked Trump's executive order curbing birthright citizenship. The decision came during hearings on lawsuits filed by several states.
