‘Aizawl FC’s meteoric rise in Indian football has been a fairytale’

Soccer in Mizoram was going nowhere since the 1980s -- even Aizawl FC, in contention as I-League champs this year was defunct after birth in 1984. Only a few like Shylo Malsawmtluanga and Jeje Lalpekhlua made it big with individual efforts. Mizoram Football Association secretary Lalnghinlova Hmar on the journey of soccer in one of India's tiniest states. Here's an exclusive interview with HT correspondent Rahul Karmakar
