Alex Ferguson, Manchester United’s greatest manager, turns 76

Alex Ferguson, who stayed at the helm of Manchester United for 27 years, has turned 76. During his tenure, the club established a level of consistency that resulted in them becoming one of the dominant clubs of Europe. The highlight of Ferguson's tenure was achieving the treble in 1999, when they won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League by defeating Bayern Munich in the last seconds. Ferguson also helped Manchester United win the Champions Trophy for the second time when they defeated Chelsea in 2008.
