Britain’s new Prime Minister Keir Starmer has promised to boost relations with India. Starmer’s re-election has also put a spotlight on his Labour Party’s Kashmir stance. Under Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership, the Labour Party interfered in the Kashmir issue and sought “international observers” in the Indian region. However, when Starmer took over the party, he called Kashmir an internal matter of India and said the resolution of the Kashmir issue should only be done by India and Pakistan.
