In a no-holds-barred statement, External Affairs S Jaishankar on Thursday said that it was abundantly clear that it was Pakistan which called for a cessation of firing after sustaining heavy damages in India's retaliatory attacks during Operation Sindoor. Jaishankar's remarks came amid a huge controversy over U.S. President Donald Trump claiming that U.S. had brokered truce between the two countries. India has consistently maintained that the halt in miliary operations was not a ceasefire and that it will treat any act of terror will be treated as an act of war and be responded to appropriately.
