Controversy over the airport code for the holy city of Gaya, a Buddhist tourist destination. In a report, Parliamentary Panel stated the code name 'GAY' for Gaya airport is 'embarrassing'. Parliamentary Panel said Gaya is a holy city; the locals might find the 'GAY' code 'offensive'. The Panel urged the Union Govt to make all efforts to get the 'GAY' code for Gaya airport changed.
