Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh trained guns at Israel after Mossad spy agency's rare statement blaming the Palestinian militant group for derailing hostage and truce negotiations. Haniyeh said Israel refused to promise a permanent ceasefire during the negotiations and evaded giving clear guarantees regarding ceasefire, withdrawal of its forces and the return of displaced Gazans.
