Houthis fool MBS, airport attack just a ruse to capture Taiz city by diverting pro-Saudi forces?

The Houthis appear to be making fresh gains toward Taiz as Saudi-backed Yemeni forces face mounting pressure across multiple fronts. The timing has raised questions over whether the Houthi attack on Aden airport may have diverted attention and resources while fighting intensified around Taiz. Reuters and other reports say Houthi forces have advanced in parts of southwestern Yemen, while Saudi-backed forces have been trying to reverse earlier Houthi gains near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Taiz remains strategically crucial, with control of the city potentially giving the Houthis greater access across southwestern Yemen. The battlefield remains fluid, however, and claims of territorial gains are still being assessed.
