IIT Bombay Suicide Case: What Happened Between Exam And Student's Death?

A second-year BTech student at IIT Bombay died by suicide on September 18. But what happened in the hours before his death has now triggered protests on campus and raised several questions. It is being reported that earlier that day, during an examination, he was stopped after he was allegedly found using a mobile phone. IIT Bombay said he had uploaded the question paper on ChatGPT. The institute initially said that no disciplinary action had been taken against him. According to IIT Bombay, the student was counselled and assured that the incident would not affect his academic career. However, students have alleged that he faced the possibility of disciplinary action. There’s another serious allegation.
