Article 370 I Pakistan downgrades diplomatic ties with India: Implications

Pakistan has upped its ante over the revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. Islamabad has said that it will “downgrade” diplomatic relations and suspend bilateral trade with India after New Delhi stripped Kashmir of special status.
The decisions were taken after Pakistan Prime Minister chaired a meeting of National Security Committee at his office in Islamabad. Hindustan Times' Foreign Editor Rezaul Laskar explains the implications of Pakistan's move in the short and long term.
