Badrinath landslide: Char-dham yatra safe, assures disaster management authority

Asserting that the administration is at work, the disaster management authority of Uttarakhand on Saturday assured that the char-dham yatra is totally safe and there is no need to worry. A major landslide occurred near the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway yesterday, which caused an impediment for the Char-dham pilgrims visiting Badrinath. State Secretary of the Disaster Management, Amit Negi, said that Border Roads Organisaton (BRO) is working continuously to open the route, adding that a small part of the road will be opened till today evening.
