‘Learn from Sri Lanka’: CDS Gen Bipin Rawat cautions Nepal on ties with China

Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat addressed the second annual dialogue with the Nepal Institute for International Cooperation and Engagement (NIICE). General Rawat spoke on the historical ties between the two nations and said that India's goodwill comes with no strings attached. General Rawat said that Nepal is free to pursue its choices in terms of international affairs but cautioned that it should be vigilant. 'Nepal is free to act independently in international affairs but must be vigilant and learn from Sri Lanka and other nations which have also signed agreements with other countries in the region,' General Rawat said. This comes as China has been expanding its influence in the Himalayan nation with several infrastructure projects. Watch the full video for all the details.
