As Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP looked set to form government in Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar took everyone by surprise. Ajit Pawar took oath as Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. NCP, Congress and Shiv Sena reacted to this move. NCP leader Nawab Malik said many MLAs who were at oath taking ceremony met Sharad Pawar later. NCP Chief Sharad Pawar accused his nephew of indiscipline. Shiv Sena's Sanjay Raut said the MLAs are coming back to Sharad Pawar and the people of Maharashtra will never forgive Ajit Pawar. Congress also launched a stinging attack on Pawar and said the latter was intimidated by power hungry BJP.
