Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, interacted with the press on the second and last day of his India trip. He fielded questions on a wide variety of issues including bilateral trade, defence cooperation and the war against terror. He was also asked a few questions about the debate in India regarding the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, and the ongoing violence in Delhi. Trump said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants people to have 'religious freedom'. He also repeated his offer of mediating between India and Pakistan, citing his good relations with both PM Modi and his Pakistani counterpart, Imran Khan.
