Russia has "supplied India with around $13 billion of arms" during the past 5 years. According to Russian state news agencies, New Delhi has placed orders with Moscow for weapons and military equipment worth more than $10 billion. Notably, India is the world's biggest buyer of Russian arms, accounting for around 20% of Moscow's current weapons order book. Remember, New Delhi has not explicitly condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraine. India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for dialogue and diplomacy to solve the Ukraine conflict but has refused to cut off ties with Moscow.
