India upgrades Kabul mission to embassy, deepening Afghanistan ties with Taliban

India has formally announced the upgrade of its Technical Mission in Kabul to a full-fledged Embassy during a bilateral meeting between External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar and Afghanistan's Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi. Jaishankar praised Afghanistan's position on counter-terrorism and reaffirmed India's commitment to the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of Afghanistan.
