India Vs Australia | Kohli-Smith Clash Over Controversial Catch As India’s Batting Crumbles Again

Published on Jan 03, 2025 01:13 pm IST

India’s batting woes continued as they were bundled out for just 185 runs on the opening day of the Sydney Test. Virat Kohli had a lifeline after a controversial catch by Steve Smith was overturned by the third umpire, but he failed to capitalize, falling soon after. India lost both Kohli and Shubman Gill in quick succession, leaving the team reeling. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja steadied the innings briefly with a vital 48-run stand. However, India lost two quick wickets after Pant's dismissal, culminating in another subpar batting performance. Australia ended the day at 9/1, still trailing by 176 runs. The day also saw a heated exchange between Jasprit Bumrah and Australian batter Konstas. Watch the video to find out, what Bumrah said about Rohit Sharma not playing the test match?
