Chidambaram admits security lapses in Mumbai blasts

India's new home minister, Palaniappan Chidambaram after visiting Mumbai on Friday admitted to security lapses that made possible the terror attacks claiming at least 195 lives. Chidambaram who took charge of the office on December 1st following his predecessor Shivraj Patil's resignation visited the sites of the terror attacks to take stock of the situation.
