Commuters welcome Mamata Banerjee’s railway budget

Amidst steep hike in fuel prices, India's rail budget unveiled by Railways Minister Mamata Banerjee in parliament on Friday has come as a welcome respite for millions of commuters in metros and major cities. In Mumbai, where a vast majority of people commute by local trains, commended Banerjee for sparing rail travellers of a fare hike . In Kolkata, people were also delighted by the budget proposals.
