Fingerprint impressions: quest for awareness & record

In a unique attempt to create record and to generate awareness among people to donate eyes, a 13-year-old girl from Coimbatore city, imprinted more than four lakh finger print impressions on a large piece of cloth. Speaking to a reporter, finger print record maker, Lakshiya, expressed her happiness to create a world record and said that with a concept to donate eyes the designing on a cloth was done. Over 350 litres of paint with 5 different colours were used to make more than 4 lakh impressions using 4 fingers of her right hand on a 100 square meters of cloth. Lakshiya would set a world record under the title of 'the world's longest individual finger printing in "female" category.
