Golden Baba, originally named Sudhir Kumar Makkad adorns himself in £300,000 (INR 3 crores approx) worth of gold despite claiming to live an ascetic lifestyle. The self-professed Golden Baba claims to have renounced all worldly affairs including his job as a successful businessman to lead an austere life and atone for his sins. The 53-year-old godman even employs seven security guards to protect him on his holy travels while wearing the jewellery.
