The Ministry of external affairs reacted sharply against Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after he admitted "no evidence" linking India's role in Nijjar's killing. Trudeau admitted after testifying before a Commission of Inquiry amid a massive diplomatic row with India. The MEA, in a late night statement, said, "What we have heard today only confirms what we have been saying consistently all along—Canada has presented us with no evidence whatsoever in support of the serious allegations that it has chosen to level against India and Indian diplomats."
