INS Mahendragiri commissioned: Is India’s navy now unstoppable with this stealth beast?

The Indian Navy has commissioned INS Mahendragiri, the sixth Project 17A Nilgiri-class stealth frigate, at Visakhapatnam in the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Designed by the Indian Navy’s Warship Design Bureau and built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, the advanced warship features over 75% indigenous content, showcasing India’s growing self-reliance in defence manufacturing. Equipped for anti-air, anti-surface and anti-submarine warfare, INS Mahendragiri will strengthen India’s maritime security and Indo-Pacific presence.
