INS Vikramaditya, USS Ford vs Fujian: Indian Navy on challenges in Indo-Pacific

Published on Jun 27, 2022 02:51 pm IST

As per HT report, serving Indian Navy Admirals have posed questions on the operability of the most-advanced, Chinese aircraft carrier - Fujian. There are concerns over state of the art electromagnetic aircraft launch system (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) technology, which Fujian is equipped with. Indian Navy war planners want to know how China will operate EMALS on steam power, when the technologically far superior U.S. is still struggling with the same system onboard USS Gerald Ford. The USS Gerald Ford is a nuclear-powered vessel while the Fujian, like INS Vikramaditya, is a steam-powered warship. Watch this video to find out more details.
