An Iranian military advisor, Milad Bidi, was also reportedly killed in an Israeli strike on Beirut that targeted Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr on July 30. Bidi was reportedly near the building struck in the Haret Hreik neighbourhood during the attack. The latest development further heightens tensions between Israel and Iran, which have been escalating since the killing of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
