Italy Seeks Urgent EU Red Sea Force Amid Houthi Attacks; Reluctant To Join U.S.-Led Group | Details

Italy has called for a quick decision on an EU maritime security force for the Red Sea. Italian foreign minister Antonio Tajani said Italy aims for a political decision by next week. He called for a prompt decision to make the task force operational as soon as possible. The operation aims to safeguard ships in the red sea from attacks by the Houthis.
