J&K police thwart Pak terror bid; Cache of weapons seized from drone droppings

- The Jammu and Kashmir police in a joint mission with the Special Operations Group has thwarted a major terror tragedy in the valley. Following inputs about a drone activity last night, the J&K police SOG carried out a search operation in the Arnia area of the RS Pura Sector along the International Border and seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition. As per initial investigation, the drone came from across the border and the activity was carried out by terror organisations Lashkar-E-Toiba and TRF at the behest of Pakistan ISI. The 3 packets dropped by the drone contained one pistol with two magazines and 70 rounds, three detonators, three remote-controlled IEDs, three bottles of explosives, one bundle of cortex wire, two-timer IEDs and six grenades.
