Durga puja is one of the most awaited & popular festival of India. Durga Puja celebrates the victory of the goddess Durga over the demon king Mahishasura. It begins on the same day as Navratri, a nine-night festival. Durga puja is seen as a celebration of woman power and is celebrated with much fervor especially in the eastern states of India.
