Insurance cover for Mental Health becomes a reality in India

The Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 could be a breather for many patients of mental illness. For example, suicide has been decriminalised and now patients with mental health issues will have access to medical insurance, just as patients with physical illnesses do. Filmmaker Rohan Sabharwal, mental health activist Tamseel Hussain and Psychiatrist Dr. Sagar Mundada share their experiences on mental illnesses and the benefits this new bill will bring to patients.
