‘Maha’ trouble for Uddhav: Himanta meets Eknath Shinde, 40 MLAs in Assam

- Eknath Shinde, who plunged Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government into a political crisis in Maharashtra, has now claimed the support of 40 MLAs. As per reports, 33 Sena MLAs and 7 independent lawmakers are supporting Shinde-led faction. The rebels are now camping in BJP-ruled Assam. After spending a night in Surat's 5-star hotel, Eknath Shinde took the MLAs to Guwahati, where they were welcomed by BJP leaders. As per report, Himanta Biswa Sarma also met Shinde at his hotel in Guwahati. Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has called a cabinet meeting today to discuss the future course of action.
