The United States of America has commented on China's remarks regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent trip to the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. China's Defence Ministry had called Arunachal a portion of Tibet, and so an "inherent" part of China's territory. Subsequently, India's foreign ministry had shamed China for the "absurd" remarks.
