Army Chief Gen Manoj Pande visits War Memorial, pays tributes to fallen soldiers

Army Chief Gen Manoj Pande, who took charge as the 29th Chief of the Army Staff after incumbent Gen MM Naravane retired from service, visited National War Memorial today. The Army Chief paid his respects to the fallen soldiers by laying wreath at the War Memorial. This was his first-ever to the National War Memorial as the chief of the army staff. Gen Pande, who was serving as the Vice Chief, became the first-ever officer from the Corps of Engineers to take the reins of the 1.3 million-strong force yesterday.
