Biden govt on J&K: US citizens advised to not visit UT amid terror spike

Biden administration has advised U.S citizens against travelling to Jammu and Kashmir, citing terrorism and civil unrest. The U.S state department issued a travel advisory and asked U.S nations to avoid visiting J&K and 10-km radius of India-Pakistan border. As per the U.S state department advisory, terrorist attacks and violent civil unrest are possible in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. In addition to this, it said that there is potential of armed conflict along the India-Pakistan border. The advisory comes at a time when Kashmir valley is on edge after a spate of civilian killings.
