The Centre has announced a massive hike in commercial LPG cylinder prices, marking the steepest increase ever. A 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder now costs ₹3,071.5 in Delhi after a sharp ₹993 jump, making it the third consecutive monthly price rise. The surge comes amid global energy disruptions triggered by the ongoing West Asia crisis, which has pushed oil prices up by nearly 50%. Over the past three months alone, commercial LPG rates have risen by a total of ₹1,303, putting significant pressure on hotels, restaurants, and small businesses.
