Dharmendra Pradhan ‘takes responsibility’ for CBSE OSM discrepancies; ‘Guilty will be punished’

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan addressed concerns surrounding discrepancies in CBSE’s new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, saying the government has acknowledged issues and will ensure corrective action is taken. Speaking after a meeting with CBSE officials, Pradhan said nearly 17 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 examinations this year, involving around 98 lakh answer copies and almost 40 crore scanned pages. He said CBSE introduced a digital evaluation system for the first time to improve transparency and make the process more student-centric. Students can now access scanned copies of their answer sheets, verify marks, and raise objections online.
