In a significant development in the Dwarka road accident case that claimed the life of 23-year-old Sahil Dhaneshra, the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) has observed that the 17-year-old accused showed “no remorse” during proceedings. According to the order accessed, the Board noted that upon enquiry from the Child in Conflict with Law (CCL), it appeared that he “does not understand the preciousness of life” and was not remorseful towards his act. The minor, however, maintained before the Board that the incident was “purely accidental in nature” and that there was no intention to cause injury or death. He also stated that he informed the police and cooperated fully with the investigation from the beginning.
