EPS-OPS supporters come to blows in Chennai as ex-TN CM takes charge of AIADMK

- Clashes erupted in Chennai between the supporters of former Tamil Nadu CM Edapaddi Palaniswami and his former deputy O Panneerselvam. This before the AIADMK general council meeting where EPS was elevated as the interim general secretary, putting an end to the present dual-leadership model in Tamil Nadu's principal opposition party. Soon after taking charge, EPS expelled OPS for "anti-party" activities. His supporters R Vaithilingam and P H Manoj Pandian were also expelled from the AIADMK. In several videos going viral on social media, EPS and OPS supporters can be seen coming to blows, storming the AIADMK HQ and even beating the pictures of their faction heads with slippers.
