Following Canadian police's admission that the Indian government had no role in the murder of pro-Khalistan terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, contrary to the claims made by former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau while he was in office, former Indian High Commissioner to Ottawa Sanjay Kumar Verma explains what this means for ties between the two nations. Verma was in the thick of things when the Nijjar storm erupted, and had to be recalled by the Indian government after he was named a person of interest in the investigation.
