- In a big boost to the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh handed over indigenous equipment to the Indian Army at an event organised by the Military Engineering Services (MES), the construction wing of the army. Military equipment included the powerful new anti-personnel mine 'Nipun', as well as personal weapons and infantry combat vehicles. The induction of the India-made weapons is a step towards India's ambition of self-reliance in Defence.
